About Lisa Burson - Charleston Makeup Artist

Having graduated from the Aveda Institute I am currently a licensed Esthetician and Makeup Artist at Stella Nova Salon and Spa in Mount Pleasant, SC. My background consist mainly of makeup artistry, esthetics, and business management. I have been an active makeup artist for 10 years, working with a variety of lines including; MAC, Nars, Estee Lauder, Aveda, Bare Minerals, and many smaller independent cosmetic companies. Most recently my work has encompassed Runway, Print, Television and, of course, Bridal. My recent projects include; Charleston Fashion Week 2007 & 2008, Lacoste Spring Family Cup, Editorial advertisements for local businesses and Print for Petry Model and Talent Agency. My portfolio is very diverse, my greatest strength is being able to appreciate all aspects of fashion and beauty. I find that all women have a little softness, sexiness and graceful femininity, it just may take a little blush, mascara and lipstick to highlight their benefits and features. I always strive to stay current while maintaining a classic beautiful approach to any makeup application. Having taken classes in Bridal Makeup, Ageless & Mature Makeup, Brush Techniques, Color Theory and Airbrush Artistry, continuing education is of the upmost importance to me. I consider myself lucky to have a career that I love to do.
